PROAPC Editorial add-on · SEO and measurement

Author schema plugin for AI articles, through Schema Rank

With the Schema Rank plugin active on your site, APC Editorial writes the right schema author into every generated article, with job title and credentials, plus the text's verified sources. Schema Rank builds the structured data; APC makes sure every article reaches it complete.

  • Author per plan or per theme
  • Verified sources in the schema
  • No invented credentials

In short

The Schema Rank add-on connects APC Editorial to the Schema Rank plugin. In every generated article, APC writes the Schema Rank author chosen in the plan or the theme and, if you turn it on, the article's verified sources as Complementary topics. Schema Rank is what turns that data into the page's schema.

APC doesn't build the schema on its own. That is why the add-on only shows up with Schema Rank installed and active; without it, there is nowhere to write.

Structured data

Author schema: who wrote it, told to Google.

Structured data is a description of the page written for search engines to read, using the schema.org vocabulary. In an article, one of the most important parts is saying who wrote it.

In schema.org, an article's author is a Person with a name and fields that say who they are: job title (jobTitle), credentials (hasCredential) and education (alumniOf). The article can also say which subjects it covers, in the about field. Google recommends stating the author in article structured data, with the name and an address that identifies the person.

Writing that schema by hand in every post is the kind of task nobody keeps doing well for long. Schema Rank handles the markup; APC Editorial makes sure every generated article gets there with the right author and sources, without you opening post after post.

What goes in Where it comes from What APC does
Article author The authors registered in Schema Rank Writes the author chosen in the plan or theme into every generated article
Title, credentials, education The author's Schema Rank profile Uses them as facts in the E-E-A-T analysis, always next to the profile's name
Complementary topics The verified sources the article cites Writes them one per line, as “text | link”, at publish
The page's markup Schema Rank Nothing: that is Schema Rank's job

Structured data helps Google understand the page, but it guarantees neither a ranking nor a rich result.

Authorship and trust

E-E-A-T without inventing credentials.

E-E-A-T stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust. It comes from the guidelines Google uses to evaluate search quality, and Google itself says it is not a single ranking factor. But it weighs heavily on subjects that affect people's health, money and rights, the topics Google calls YMYL.

Before writing a WP article, APC builds the strategic differential, and one of its items is E-E-A-T: the concrete signals the article has and what only the author can add. With Schema Rank, that item gets the author's real profile:

  • Name, title and numbered credentials, as registered in Schema Rank.
  • Years of experience and education, when the profile has them.
  • Each fact stays next to the profile's name: if the WordPress author has a different name, the credentials never go to them.
  • With no profile, nothing is cited: APC never invents experience, credentials or registration numbers.

You check it all through the View strategic differential link on each theme card.

What it does

The author and the sources, in every article.

The authors come from Schema Rank itself, live: whoever you register there shows up in APC's selectors.

The plan's default author

In the plan's Primary author card, the Schema Rank author default sits next to the WordPress author. The 2 are chosen separately.

Author per theme

On the theme card, Schema Rank Author starts at (Inherited from the editorial plan). Pick another just for that article, and the plan never overrides your choice.

In bulk

Select the themes and use Assign Schema Rank Author. The Schema Rank Author: all filter shows each author's themes.

Sources in the schema

In the plan's Complementary topics card, turn on Fill “Complementary topics” automatically: the article's verified sources go to Schema Rank at publish.

The same sources in the text

The references block at the end of the article and Complementary topics come from the same list of sources. What readers see and what the schema says never diverge.

Author in E-E-A-T

The profile's title, credentials, years of experience and education go into each WP article's E-E-A-T analysis, as facts, with nothing invented.

No silent swaps

The right author, in every version.

In a regulated sector, the name on an article is a responsibility. That is why APC handles the Schema Rank author with care:

  • An existing article keeps its Schema Rank author. Regenerating or publishing a new version doesn't change it.
  • The card shows the real author: once the article exists, the theme card displays the author on the post, even if someone changed it in the editor.
  • With no author chosen, the plan doesn't generate: with the add-on on, the plan asks for the default Schema Rank author before generating.
  • An author deleted in Schema Rank holds the plan or the theme until you choose another. No article goes out with an author who no longer exists.
  • A source without a valid link goes in as text only; an invalid address is never written.
  • Nothing is erased from your posts: deactivating Schema Rank only hides the selectors, and uninstalling APC leaves the Schema Rank fields on your posts.

FAQ

Questions about author schema.

Does APC Editorial generate the page's schema on its own?

No. The Schema Rank plugin builds the structured data. APC writes the Schema Rank author and the sources into the generated articles, so the schema comes out complete with no manual work.

Do I need Schema Rank installed?

Yes. The add-on only shows up with Schema Rank installed and active. Without it, the rest of APC Editorial works as usual, just without the schema author.

Do the WordPress author and the Schema Rank author have to be the same person?

No. The 2 are chosen separately. When the names differ, APC never puts the Schema Rank profile's title or credentials next to the WordPress author's name.

What goes into Complementary topics?

The verified sources the article cites, one per line, in the “text | link” format. A source without a valid link goes in as text only. They are the same ones as in the references block at the end of the article.

Does regenerating the article change the author?

No. An article that already has a Schema Rank author keeps it through every regeneration and every new version. The plan's or theme's author only fills an article that has none yet.

Does author schema improve my Google ranking?

There is no guarantee. Structured data helps Google understand who wrote the text and what it relies on, and E-E-A-T weighs more on health, money and rights topics. But what holds a ranking is useful, trustworthy content.

Does it work on LinkedIn posts?

No. LinkedIn plans sign posts with the WordPress author only, because the post goes to a person's LinkedIn profile.

What if I deactivate Schema Rank later?

The Schema Rank author selectors disappear from APC, and nothing is erased: the articles keep the fields they already had. When you reactivate it, everything shows up again.
