Before you start#

How is APC Editorial different from other AI article plugins?

The others start from a loose keyword and write a standalone article. APC starts from a core subject, builds a plan with a Pillar and Satellites, checks what your site has already published and only then writes each article, linked to its neighbours. See What APC Editorial is.

What are the requirements?

WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It works on sites built with Elementor. See Install the plugin.

Does it work with my SEO plugin?

Yes. The SEO title, meta description and keyword are filled in Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress, whichever is active on the site. See Article generation.

Which languages does it write in?

In the output language you choose; left empty, the site's language applies. The text, the SEO fields and even the text in the image come out in that language. The plugin's screens are in English and Portuguese. See Settings.

Generate and publish#

Does the article go live without me seeing it?

Only if you choose Publish. You choose on every generation, and the default is Draft. The draft can also go to the client for approval first. See Publishing.

Can I generate articles in bulk?

Yes. Scheduling generates one article per slot, in daily, weekly or monthly slots, in the plan's order. The site generates up to 5 articles at the same time, one per plan. See Publishing.

What if I regenerate an article that is already live?

The current article stays live. The new version is kept beside it and only replaces it when you publish, at the same address and with the same publish date. See Publishing.

How does APC avoid 2 articles about the same thing?

At 2 moments. Every theme enters the plan with a briefing compared with the other themes, the article index and the considered seasons. And, before writing, anti-cannibalization compares the theme again with what the site already has. See Themes and briefings.

Can I bring the planning I already have?

Yes, with Import themes: you upload the spreadsheet and choose which column becomes each field. Each theme enters the plan with its briefing already written. See Themes and briefings.

What happens if a generation step fails?

The theme card says which step failed, why and what to do. A step that is turned on is never skipped silently, and an incomplete article never goes live on its own. See Article generation.

Costs and keys#

Do I need an API key?

To generate with AI, yes: the Anthropic (Claude) key writes the text and the OpenAI key creates the images. Perplexity, DataForSEO and Jurisprudências.ai are optional. The Free tools use no key at all. See AI keys and costs.

How much does it cost to generate an article?

The cost is what the AIs charge, billed straight to your account with each provider, with no jode.io markup. It varies with the model and the article's length, and the plugin shows what each step of each article cost. See AI keys and costs.

Can I limit spending?

Yes, with a monthly cost ceiling for each provider: Anthropic, OpenAI and Perplexity. When a ceiling is reached, the queue pauses or you just get an alert. The text is never shortened and the model is never swapped for a weaker one. See AI keys and costs.

Does jode.io keep my keys or my articles?

No. The keys stay in your WordPress and are used only during each generation. The finished article goes to your site, and plans and themes stay there too. See AI keys and costs.

Account and plans#

On how many sites can I use it?

As many as you want, on Free and on PRO. The difference between the plans is the features, never the number of sites. See Free and PRO.

How much is PRO?

US$ 19.90 a month or US$ 200.59 a year, per user, on unlimited sites. See Free and PRO and the pricing page.

Does my team need several subscriptions?

PRO is per person: whoever plans and generates with AI needs their own subscription. Someone who only uses the Free tools doesn't. Each person signs in with their own Google account, using the same e-mail as their WordPress user. See Sign in with jode.io.

What happens if I cancel PRO?

PRO stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, the PRO screens go away, but nothing is deleted: plans, themes and articles stay on the site and show up again if you subscribe again. See Free and PRO.
